Individual membership
Full individual membership at NIAS allows many opportunities to interact with academics and influential individuals at high-profile members events, as well as the access to the exclusive Institute’s data bank and archives. Out events are held at various premises to host up to 100 people.
While attending NIAS events and use our data bank, each individual member keeps up to date with our latest research and academic activities.
Also, if you are a member and you refer a friend, you will receive reduced rated on your own membership.

How to apply
- To become a member, all mandatory fields on the form must be completed, and you must pay the annual membership
- You can pay annually or quarterly using a valid credit or debit card
- During the application process, all members must complete a short personal statement of 150-250 words. The statement will be included into the application form.
To qualify for student concession, you must be a student and not in full-time employment. Alternatively, you must have graduated within the past three years.
Associate membership
Associate membership is ideal for those who have little time to visit NIAS, giving access to membership’s online features and our full programme on online courses.
Associate members receive highlights of our research and events directly to their email. The member also benefits from online publications of The Saharan as well as full access to members’ online resources, which include hundreds of news and blog articles.
Also, if the Associate Member bypasses London, he or she will have an opportunity to visit our library and attend our events.
